The annual Holiday in the Plaza and tree lighting at the Castle Hills Village Shops on Saturday, November 30, was successful in getting everyone who attended into the holiday spirit! The afternoon offered up clear skies and crisp weather for the more than 2,000 guests who filled the plaza. Families had fun rides on the trackless Christmas train, and story time with Mrs. Claus, and the younger kids enjoyed bouncy houses, balloon artists and face painters. Two groups performed holiday music: older students from Hebron High School Choir and younger students from the Castle Hills Elementary Choir. Guests also enjoyed a dance routine from the students at Paragon Dance and a drumline performance from toy soldier drummer boys. Families took advantage of holiday photo ops with jolly Santa Claus, as well as the popular Christmas monkey and live reindeer. The highlight of the evening was the lighting of the community's 68-foot tree by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
