March 26, 2020 (Lewisville, TX) - Retailers in the Castle Hills Village Shops have quickly adapted their business models to continue serving the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Village Shops, located in the master-planned Castle Hills community in Lewisville, is a neighborhood destination with a variety of eateries, retail shops and neighborhood conveniences. It serves as a gathering place for morning coffee, lunch with friends and family dinners as well as outdoor activity, with water features that are popular with kids and pets.
Restaurants in the Village Shops are now offering delivery that includes both food and alcoholic beverages; call ahead orders with curbside pick-up; and special take-out menus. Many have communicated with diners about an increased cleaning protocol. Non-restaurant retailers are also adapting by offering special services.
Design Time Art Studio, for example, is offering "take-out canvases," a kit with all of the necessary supplies to create painting projects at home or while sitting on the shore of Lake Avalon. Liberty Postal has communicated with residents that, as an "essential business" because of their status as a CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency), they will work to maintain regular hours and normal functions while following CDC social distancing guidelines.
"The local restaurants in the Village Shops have stepped up their options for us. I like the idea of supporting the local restaurants here. They have been doing an amazing job for a long time. Let's show them some love," said Castle Hills resident Adam Oliver.
"PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery & T.B.D. Kitchen both were built as restaurants for a community," said Sean Conner, owner/manager. "We currently have pulled together as a restaurant family and are tackling the obstacles presented by this situation one at a time. I could not be more proud of the crew as they are all so creative, hard-working and continue to serve all of our patrons. We do not know how long this will last but what we do know is we will show up and continue to serve our community in every capacity available to us."

Code Ninjas Castle Hills is offering online coding programs for children 7+ for $99 per child with in-home coding programs, weekly webinars and special pricing for maintaining the program after the pandemic. Estilo Concept Store, A jewelry and accessories boutique, is open online and offering 10% off purchases using code HEALTH10 valid until March 31, 2020.
