The annual Castle Hills July 4th Freedom Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary with a day of family-friendly activities, live music, food trucks and a stunning fireworks display at the Castle Hills Village Shops. In addition to offering a suburban destination for families wanting to see a great fireworks show, the event showcases Village Shops tenants to those from the Castle Hills neighborhood and beyond.
"Since the first families moved into Castle Hills, Bright Realty has sponsored free, family-friendly events at the Village Shops," said Eric Stanley, Bright Realty president & COO. "We recognize the importance of building a sense of community here in Castle Hills and we draw neighbors together several times throughout the year with seasonal festivals and live music events. We use those events to draw new and repeat customers to restaurants and retailers at the Village Shops." A recent example was the 3rd Annual Castle Hills Spring Concert Series which drew about 2,500 guests each to outdoor concerts in May and June.
"The events sponsored by Bright Realty are some of our busiest days," said Cory Kuchinsky of TKO Libations, a craft brewery that is one of the Village Shops' most popular retailers. "They bring thousands of potential new customers to the neighborhood and give our regular customers a reason to come back. The events also allow tenants the opportunity to be a part of the event by having a presence outside in the plaza. We were able to offer our locally brewed craft beer from a booth next to the stage which was a great opportunity for us...and beer lovers!"
"In addition to encouraging neighbors and friends to come to the events, we also remind visitors to enjoy dinner or drinks at one of the Village Shops restaurants before or after the event, or to pick up something to enjoy at the event, like a cheese board from The Salty Cow or frozen yogurt from FroYo Smoo-licious," added Stanley. "With the Village Shops becoming a real 'foodie destination,' there are a lot of pre- and post-event options for food and drink."
To get the word out about the events, they are promoted by Bright Realty and event sponsors on several area billboards, in addition to signage in and around Castle Hills, in neighborhood eNewsletters, in local media such as The Dallas Morning News and on several social media platforms. In addition to Bright Realty, this year's Village Shops event sponsors are the City of Lewisville and Vector Security.
Phase 5 of the Castle Hills Village Shops, the newest phase of the shops, consists of 5,206 square feet of retail space, half of which is leased, located under two floors of condos.
