November 26, 2018 (Lewisville, TX) - Dallas is the first city in the southwest to implement Wired Certification, an international system from WiredScore that rates commercial buildings on infrastructure, technology and connectivity capacity. The Bright Realty team celebrated this accomplishment at Dallas City Hall with city officials and a handful of "DFW leaders in connectivity" on Tuesday, November 13.
The new connectivity rating system for Dallas-area office buildings will measure which locations provide the best technological capacity and connectivity infrastructure.
"Technology is at the heart of any smart city," said Courtney Pogue, director of Economic Development for the City of Dallas, "and the commercial real estate community has the power to elevate Dallas as a world-class smart city."
"Fast and reliable internet is core to any tenant experience. There is nothing more frustrating in a business setting than a slow or unreliable internet connection and, until now, there has been limited information available to tenants about the quality of technology and internet in office spaces," said Lucas Patterson, executive vice president. "We're pleased The Realm at Castle Hills will receive WiredScore certification because it empowers us as developers and landlords to understand, improve and promote our digital infrastructure, as well as provide a solid connectivity rating classification and instill confidence with our tenants."
According to WiredScore, connectivity is among the top three most important factors for tenants searching for office space, along with cost and location. Wired Certification identifies strong internet connectivity so that tenants can easily benchmark buildings during their office space search. So far, more than 1,700 buildings around the world have received the certification, which was launched in New York City in 2013.
The Realm at Castle Hills is a 1.4 million-square-foot mixed-used project with retail, office and restaurant in the busy SH 121 area, delivering Phase 1 in September 2019. The Realm at Castle Hills Office is nine stories of Class AA office space with a fitness center, cafÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂé, community lounge, conference center and 16,356 square feet of first floor restaurant space.
